New standalone GuidSIGN version for Windows platform released

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 16, 2006 - Vancouver, B.C, Canada

Transoft Solutions, developers of advanced CAD-based software for the architectural
and engineering transportation industry, has released a new version of its
standalone highway and roadway design software - GuidSIGN 4.3 for Windows. As with
its CAD-based predecessor, GuidSIGN 4.3, the new Windows version includes new
roadway sign fonts, styles and special requests from end users such as compatibility
with updated FHWA Series 2000 and TrueType® fonts as well as the new ClearviewHwyT
font and updated MUTCD standards. GuidSIGN 4.3 for Windows is also designed to have
direct integration between designers\' output files, and cutters and plotters used in
the sign development process owing to the situation in which many sign manufacturing
shops do not use CAD platform software, thereby causing inconsistencies between what
had been originally designed and the finished product.

\"Our latest release, GuidSIGN 4.3 for Windows, allows users to create various
highway and roadway signs that conform to government standards with considerably
improved accuracy and efficiency without the need of, or expertise in, costly
CAD-based platforms such as MicroStation or AutoCAD. The ease of use with this
product is simply outstanding,\" commented Transoft\'s Associate Product Manager,
Michael Frost, \"Furthermore, signs designed in this newest GuidSIGN version for
Windows are designed to be fully compatible with Transoft\'s CAD-based versions of
GuidSIGN, making it the ideal sign design software for collaboration on
transportation projects between state and federal DOT\'s, counties, municipalities,
and individual consultants.\"

New features for GuidSIGN 4.3 for Windows include:

Full compatibility with Windows NT, 2000, XP and GuidSIGN for AutoCAD and MicroStation
Updated MUTCD 2003 panel styles
Compatibility with True Type® fonts including the new ClearviewHwyT fonts
Supports extended TrueType® font accented characters
New special characters (e.g. \"!\" \"$\" \"#\")\"
Transoft\'s GuidSIGN family of products (for both CAD and Windows based platforms)
are easy to use programs that fully automate the design of highway and roadway signs
and does so much quicker and simpler compared to conventional sign design methods.
Different versions of GuidSIGN have been in use since 1993.
